Mirantis and Grid Dynamics Merge to Create Global Leader in High-End Technology Development Services
Foster City, CA : Mirantis, one of the leading operators of Russia-based offshore development center (ODC), and Grid Dynamics, a fast-growing expert in grid and cloud computing, have completed a merger, creating a leading provider of high-end technology development services with the focus on Semiconductor, Retail, Telecommunications and Financial Services industries.
Both companies built their name and reputation on the ability to execute complex technology-driven development programs for Fortune 500 customers through combining Russian top engineering talent with Silicon Valley-caliber technology thought leadership. Mirantis brings to the table an unmatched operational maturity in managing large-scale technology development programs. Grid Dynamics – expertise and thought leadership in highly scalable mission-critical enterprise systems based on grid and cloud computing.
The company will operate through two business units:
- Emerging Technology Practice (ETP), offering consulting and development services for complex business solutions driven by emerging technologies. Initial focus will be on enterprise grid, HPC and cloud computing.
- Technology Lifecycle Practice (TLP) offering customized staffing services for large-scale development, implementation and support stages of technology-driven systems.
Victoria Livschitz, the founder and CEO of Grid Dynamics will assume a role of the President and CEO of the combined company, while Alex Freedland, the founder and CEO of Mirantis, will serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
