Program Management Methodology
Mirantis success in setting up and managing strategic Product Development Centers for its clients stems from consistent and systematic application of the Program Management methodology. This methodology serves as a foundation of Mirantis delivery model. It provides both management blue-prints and organizational infrastructure necessary to set up and manage custom operations for clients.
Utilizing Program Management methodology, Mirantis creates a custom extension of the client organization by replicating client processes, best practices and culture in the PDC. This enables full integration of Mirantis PDC into clients operations and ensures a much greater predictability of operations versus traditional outsourcing models. This is critical in the context of core Product Development and R&D.
Mirantis Program Management is tasked with
- Coordination and prioritization of tasks/projects in the portfolio of the PDC
- PDC staff management and development
- Creation of program management capability consistent with client needs and best practices
Mirantis Program Management Office is an organizational construct responsible for the implementation of PDC Program Management.
Mirantis Program Management Framework is used to govern the set up and management of PDC. This framework, Mirantis’ “genetic code” for each PDC, serves as:
- A reusable set of management blueprints
- An expression of guiding management principles
- A repository of organizational knowledge
- A key to scalability and alignment
The framework focuses on four key competency areas listed below:
Mirantis Common Management Infrastructure is completely project agnostic and supports all tasks and activities of the PDC.
