Co-Founder, CEO and Chairman
Adrian Ionel is the CEO, co-founder and chairman of Mirantis. He joined the company in 2009 and initiated its investment in OpenStack. Since then, Mirantis grew into one of the most respected companies in open source cloud software. Adrian leads the company’s development, rooted in a culture of customer care, curiosity and technical excellence. Prior to Mirantis Adrian was CEO and founder of eOnline, VP and General Manager EMEA at Qualys (NASDAQ: QLYS) and Venture Partner at Trident Capital. He earned a MSEE degree from the University of Erlagen-Nuernberg and started his career in R&D and product management. A Romanian by birth, Adrian has lived in the UK, Germany and Japan and settled in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1995. Outside work he loves power yoga, time with his family and the occasional mountain biking ride.
Co-Founder and CMO
Boris is responsible for helping define Mirantis’ strategic vision and executing on it in the marketplace across the OpenStack ecosystem and beyond. Boris’s influence was instrumental in Mirantis’ current focus on OpenStack. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the OpenStack Foundation.
During the last 15 years, Boris held several executive positions with the companies he helped establish. He was a founder and CEO of Selectosa Systems—an IT consulting company that was subsequently acquired in 2006—and a co-founder and angel investor at AGroup—now a venture backed enterprise software company headquartered in Europe.
Boris holds a BSc in Information Systems from Santa Clara University. He likes technical scuba diving, motorcycles, and RC helicopters.
Dave Van Everen
SVP, WW Field Organization
Dave leads the global sales organization including direct and inside sales, alliances, business development, and sales operations. With nearly 20 years of executive management and senior leadership experience spanning sales, marketing and product management, Dave provides strong customer focus and highly organized cross-functional execution across many of the largest and most complex customer environments throughout the world.
Prior to joining Mirantis in October of 2014, Dave served in multiple marketing executive and product leadership roles for Five9 and Genesys. After joining Five9, Dave was instrumental in building the product and business model that led to a successful IPO in 2014. Dave is also a co-author on several patents related to contact center technology and web-based statistics.
Dave holds a BFA in Painting from California College of the Arts, graduating magna cum laude. Outside of work, Dave spends time with his family, is an avid road cyclist, and continues to produce fine art paintings in digital and traditional media.
VP, Professional Services
Radu’s global team charter is to provide cloud solutions and platforms to Mirantis customers. The team delivers tailored advisory, design and development of hybrid and multi-cloud solutions based on Mirantis and other open source technologies.
In his 20 years of experience, Radu worked in product management at CPlane Networks, led Enterprise IT at Vertex Pharmaceuticals and held many roles as an Oracle technologist in various industry settings.
Radu holds an MBA from Babson College and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University. He is an avid fan of Formula 1 and enjoys a good glass of wine.
Igor Solodov is the Global Controller of Mirantis. He began in the Mirantis finance department in 2009, and is now responsible for financial management, corporate accounting, and related audits, and coordinates legal, regulatory, and compliance functions. During his 25 year career in the software business he has served as the Chief Financial Officer for Grid Dynamics and other software companies in both the United States and Europe, and was Vice President of Finance for Robertson & Blums Corporation. Igor was also a co-founder and CFO at AGroup, which is now a venture backed enterprise software company headquartered in Europe.
Igor holds a MSc degree from Riga Technical University. He like chess, jazz, cars, and bike riding.
