The Murano project keeps moving forward and is now an official OpenStack project. The project team has successfully extended Murano to support deployment of applications defined with Heat templates.

Today the OpenStack Technical Committee approved the patch to the OpenStack governance document to move the Murano project to the openstack repository space. Two things enabled this change: the Big Tent model, and the hard work of the Murano team, who kept the project consistent with the OpenStack development model and approach.
