Congrats to Vasyl Saienko, Outstanding Employee Award Winner

D.J. Harris - February 23, 2022 - , , ,

At Mirantis, our strength and success comes from the talent and hard work of our employees, and we believe in recognizing and rewarding excellence among our staff. Recently, our HR team asked managers across the company to nominate candidates for our Outstanding Employee awards who not only embody Mirantis’ core values but also produce outstanding results for our business.

Below is some background information on one of our recent award winners, Principal DevOps Engineer, Vasyl Saienko. We’ve also included a brief response directly from Vasyl, discussing his experience as a member of the dev ops team.

Vasyl has been part of the Mirantis DevOps team for more than seven years, and has played an integral role in iterating and managing Mirantis’ OpenStack solutions. He is now a Principal DevOps Engineer based in Ukraine and is described by his peers as “one of the best engineers on the OpenStack team.”

Although focused on “keeping Mirantis OpenStack at a high level of quality…”, according to one of his managers, Vasyl also applies his talents to other products, mainly testing and debugging “other components of various products to achieve the best experience across all Mirantis products for our users and customers.” Vasyl truly embodies one of the key pillars of the Mirantis Mindset: “do it together.” He strives to help his fellow engineers, far beyond those on the OpenStack team, always with the customer or end-user in mind.

One of the most senior engineers on the Mirantis OpenStack team, Vasyl is “always open to help and provides technical expertise to ensure both our products and our customers succeed,” according to one of his fellow OpenStack engineers that nominated him for this award. “He works hard, manages lots of responsibilities, and thinks outside of the box.”

Congratulations to Vasyl Saienko, Outstanding Employee award winner for the Engineering team. The entire Mirantis family is grateful for all of your contributions, and we are happy to highlight your success.
