Recently, our HR team asked managers across the company to nominate candidates for our Outstanding Employee awards, which recognize team members who not only embody Mirantis’ core values but also produce outstanding results for our business.
Below is some background information on one of our recent award winners, Inside Sales Representative Mark Falkner. We’ve also included a brief response directly from Mark, discussing his experiences as a member of the Sales team.
Mark joined Mirantis just over two years ago, and previously had been a part of Docker’s sales team within the Enterprise IT space for the better part of two years. Since the Mirantis acquisition of Docker Enterprise, Mark has advanced his career with Mirantis, and has made himself an invaluable asset to the Sales team and the rest of the company.
To kickstart Q3, Mark closed a six-figure deal with a leading Managed Cloud Provider, which was a huge net new logo for Mirantis and the very first Platform-Engineering-as-a-Service (PEaaS) deal in company history. He then strategically reached out to a company supported by that Managed Cloud Provider and landed a three year expansion deal worth well into six figures. His dedication to building relationships through more than just business was key to Mark closing both of these six-figure deals, and in his own words, is one of the reasons he looks forward to coming into work on a daily basis.
Mark’s success didn’t stop there. In addition to expanding key accounts, Mark also brought three net new logos into the Mirantis fold. All of these key sales propelled Mark to shatter his performance targets for the quarter, surpassing his forecasts by nearly 350%.
