“Kon-ni-chi-wa – Hello, Japan!”

Mirantis is making small, but significant steps this week. In line with our ongoing global expansion, including new offices in the Netherlands, France, and China last year, we are pleased to announce the opening of our Japan office, in the Marunouchi area, in the heart of Tokyo. Last year, particularly during OpenStack Summit Paris, Mirantis received an overwhelming amount of interest from Japanese partners and customers, including prominent companies in telecommunications, manufacturing, internet and other industries. Our new Tokyo office will help many of our customers and partners accelerate the adoption of Mirantis OpenStack within the Japan market.

In addition, we are also pleased to announce our strategic alliance with a major local systems integrator, Itochu Techno-Solutions (CTC). For many customers, CTC plays a key role when it comes to adopting cloud infrastructure. CTC’s strong technology partnership with many cloud-related technology vendors throughout the ecosystem will ensure the smooth adoption of Mirantis OpenStack by Japanese customers.

The first major activity for our Japan office was to participate as an official sponsor of the OpenStack Days Tokyo event this week, where co-founder Boris Renski was featured as a speaker. CTC joined us in our exhibition booth, where we met hundreds of cloud computing professionals from throughout Japan.
